Difference:
1. The difference between acrylic and polyester boards
Acrylic artificial stone slabs are smoother, higher, and more transparent than polyester board countertops. If the corners are directly burned with a lighter, the acrylic board will be marshmallow like (soft), accompanied by small bursts of sparks and a fragrant smell. The polyester board will be carbonized and emit thick black smoke and a benzene odor.
2. The difference between aluminum hydroxide powder board and calcium carbonate powder board:
(1) Chemical method: Drop a nitrate solution with a concentration of over 30% onto the surface of an artificial stone slab and observe whether bubbles are generated. If no bubbles are generated, it is an aluminum powder slab, and if there are, it is a calcium powder slab.
(2) Appearance: The calcium powder board artificial stone countertop is relatively dull, while the aluminum powder board is relatively transparent.
(3) Mechanical properties: Calcium powder board is brittle, easy to crack, and difficult to process, while aluminum powder board has high toughness and can be easily processed into the desired shape after heating.
(4) Burning method: Take a small piece and ignite its sharp corner with fire, then leave the flame. The aluminum powder board will immediately extinguish naturally, and the calcium powder board will continue to burn for more than 5 seconds.
(5) Stain resistance: Aluminum powder board has stain resistance to cola, cooking oil, vinegar, kimchi juice, soy sauce, dishwashing detergent, tomato sauce, chili sauce, etc. commonly used in households, while calcium powder board is easily contaminated.
