Artificial stone countertop: It is a mineral filled polymer composite material (referred to as solid surface material or solid board, commonly known as artificial stone) made of natural mineral powder, high-performance resin, and natural pigments through vacuum casting or compression molding. The surface is free of pores and has strong resistance to high temperatures, stains, acid and alkali, corrosion, and wear, making it impossible for bacteria to grow. Easy to repair burn marks and burn marks, it is the most hygienic and easy to clean material, and has strong plasticity, which can be seamlessly spliced.
Daily attention should be paid to the following points:
(1) Do not place high-temperature objects directly or for a long time on the countertop. Hot pots, kettles, or other high-temperature utensils taken directly from the stove can cause damage to the countertop. Please use a pot holder with rubber feet or place a heat insulation pad on the countertop:
(2) When cutting vegetables, a cutting board should be placed on top, otherwise unsightly scratches may be left. For knife marks, burn marks, and scratches left on the countertop, if the surface finish requirement is matte, 400-600 grit sandpaper can be used to polish until the knife marks disappear. Use a cleaning agent and a scouring pad to wipe back to its original state. If the surface finish of the countertop is mirror like, first polish it with 800-1200 grit sandpaper, and then gently wipe the surface with a clean cotton cloth dipped in a little vegetable oil.
(3) Do not allow heavy or sharp objects to directly impact the surface of the table. Oversized or overweight vessels should not be placed on the countertop for extended periods of time. Do not immediately boil with hot water after rinsing with cold water;
(4) Try to keep the surface of the countertop dry and avoid long-term immersion to prevent the countertop from cracking and deforming. Artificial stone countertops should be protected from bleaching agents and scale in water, which can lighten the color of the countertop and affect its appearance;
(5) Strictly prevent strong chemicals from contacting the table surface, such as degreaser, stove cleaner, acetone (nail polish remover), strong acid cleaner, etc. In case of contact with the above items, immediately wash the surface with a large amount of soapy water. If it is stained with nail polish, please wipe it with acetone free detergent (such as alcohol), and then rinse it with water.
(6) Due to various reasons, there are more scratches on the countertop, or prolonged use (1-2 years) affects its appearance. Professional technicians can be hired for professional handling.
